## [Saving Artificial Minds in 2027: Some Recent Trends in AI Welfare Research](https://aiwelfareseminars.org/saving-artificial-minds-in-2027/)

Dec 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM UTC

[Leonard Dung](https://sites.google.com/view/leonard-dung/home) ([Ruhr-University Bochum](https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/en))

This talk would, first, present key themes of my book Saving Artificial Minds (published in 2025) and then survey key developments in AI welfare research since then. I would also present some opinionated views on these topics that are based on my work since the book publication and some other theories I endorse.
